Original story follows…

Ever since Qualcomm unveiled its latest flagship chipset, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor, almost all leading smartphone manufacturers have been teasing the arrival of their upcoming flagship devices with the same processor. Asus, being one of them, is also gearing up for the launch of a new smartphone, which will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor. Today, we have spotted a new Asus smartphone on the Geekbench database website, which runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset. The device could likely be the upcoming Asus ROG 4 (or, judging by the model number, the device could very well be called the ROG Phone 5 and the company might want to skip the ROG 4 moniker for obvious reasons, as number 4 is considered unlucky in some parts of the world). Take a look at the Geekbench scores of the upcoming Asus smartphone and find out what it has in store for us.

As seen in the Geekbench database image, the alleged Asus ROG phone 4 device (with the model number ASUS_I005DA) has recently been listed. The device has managed to score 1,081 in the single-core test and 3,584 in the multi-core test.

Furthermore, the Geekbench listing confirms that the probable Asus ROG phone 4 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor (codename Lahaina), which will be paired with 8GB of RAM. However, there are chances that the device will come in with more RAM variants as well.

On the software side of things, the alleged Asus ROG phone 4 device will boot the latest Android 11 OS out of the box. Other than what we mentioned above, the Geekbench listing for the device fails to tell us anything else.

It is worth noting that the Asus ROG phone 4 moniker is nowhere near an official confirmation for now and it is mere speculation. A speculation, though highly likely, could also go wrong, so we would suggest our readers take things with a slight grain of salt before things become officially clear. For all it’s worth, it could even belong to the Asus Zenfone 8 series of smartphones.

As of now, this is all the information that we have on the upcoming Asus flagship device, but we are sure to receive more intel on the same in the coming days. Whenever we do, we will keep you posted on the same. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Asus ROG phone 4? Do let us know in the comments section below.
