The leaks and rumors surrounding the ASUS ROG Phone 3 have been popping up on the internet for quite a while now. ASUS ROG Phone 3, the company’s upcoming gaming smartphone, has previously been spotted on various certification websites, which have given us a working clue about its key specifications and features. Notably, the upcoming gaming flagship will run on a seemingly overclocked version of the current Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 5G mobile platform and will feature a 64MP rear camera. So far, the word in the market was that the ASUS ROG Phone 3 would launch in July 2020, but the actual launch date of the device was relatively unknown. As per our source, Asus has confirmed that it will announce its new smartphone (which, in all likelihood, has to be the Asus ROG Phone 3) during its forthcoming “ROG 2020 Game Changes” online launch event. The product launch will take place at 11 pm on July 22 (Taiwan time), at 5 pm local time in Milan, Italy, and at 11 am local time in New York, USA. There’s a possibility that Asus will unveil more gaming-centric products alongside the Asus ROG Phone 3 smartphone, but this can’t be said for sure as of now.

As for the specifications and features of the device, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will feature a 6.59-inch Full HD+ AMOLED panel, which will have a relatively high refresh rate. At the back, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will make room for a triple rear camera, which will consist of a 64MP primary lens. The front camera will be a 13MP unit.

Under the hood, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, which will be clocked at 3.10GHz and will be clubbed with 12GB of RAM and a whopping 512GB onboard memory. On the software side of things, the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will boot the latest Android 10 OS out of the box. Design-wise, the TENAA images hint that the ASUS ROG Phone 3 will look more or less like its previous-generation counterpart, dubbed the ASUS ROG Phone 2.
