The Huawei Y6p and the Huawei Y5p are launched in Romania. The company has launched the Huawei Y6p at a price tag of RON 799, which roughly translates to somewhere around EUR 165. The Huawei Y5p, on the other hand, is priced at RON 599 or around EUR 125. The pricing of the Huawei Y8s, however, has not been revealed yet. Both Huawei Y6s and Huawei Y5s have begun their pre-order journey already.

Huawei Y8s: Specifications and Features

Starting with the display of the device, the Huawei Y8s sports a 6.5-inch TFT IPS LCD panel with a Full HD+ resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. The device features a wide notch at the top. It measures 77.1 x 162.4 x 8.135mm and weighs in at 180 grams. The brand has introduced two color options for the Huawei Y8s – Emerald Green and Midnight Black.

Under the hood, the Huawei Y8s is powered by an octa-core Kirin 710 processor, which is clubbed with a Mali G51-MP4 GPU, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. On the software side of things, the Huawei Y8s ships with Android 9 Pie out of the box with the company’s in-house EMUI 9.1 skin baked on top of it. As far as the battery of the device is concerned, the Huawei Y8s sports a 4,000mAh battery. Sadly, there is no scope for fast charging and Huawei Y8s comes with a standard 10W charging support over a traditional micro USB port. Thankfully enough, the Huawei Y8s retains a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Coming to the cameras of the device, the Huawei Y8s features a dual rear camera setup, which includes a 48MP primary camera with f/1.8 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture. At the front, too, the device flaunts a dual selfie camera setup – an 8MP primary camera with f/2.0 aperture and a 2MP secondary camera with f/2.4 aperture.

Coming to the Huawei Y6p, the device features a 6.3-inch IPS LCD panel with an HD+ resolution. The device sports a waterdrop notch at the top of the display, which makes room for an 8MP selfie shooter. Moving around the rear of the device, the Huawei Y6p makes room for a triple rear camera setup – a 13MP main lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. At the back, we also find a physical fingerprint scanner. The Huawei Y6p is available in three color variants – black, green, and purple.

Powering the Huawei Y6p is an octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor, which is paired with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. If 64GB does not suffice for your media consumption needs, the same can be expanded with the help of an external SD card.

On the battery front, the Huawei Y6p sports a large 5,000mAh battery with a standard microUSB port. On the software side of things, the Huawei Y6p ships with the latest Android 10 OS out of the box with the company’s latest EMUI 10.1 skin atop.

Under the hood, the Huawei Y5p is also powered by a Helio P22 processor, but the RAM is limited to 2GB and internal storage is reduced to 32GB. Thankfully, the Huawei Y5p also has a storage expansion option. Coming to battery life, the Huawei Y5p comes with a 3,020mAh battery, which receives juice via a traditional microUSB port. Just like the Y6p, the Huawei Y5p also boots EMUI 10.1 built on top of Android 10 OS.
