The device will be available in quite a few memory and storage configurations. As of now, the leaked image only reveals the price of the 6GB RAM and 64GB variant of the Lenovo S5 Pro smartphone. The 6GB+68GB model is priced at 2299 Yuan (approximately $332).

It’s clear that the device is a budget offering considering it’s powered by the Snapdragon 660 SoC. Lenovo recently confirmed that it will be launching the S5 Pro in China at an event on October 18. Ahead of its official unveiling in China next week, the smartphone has made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmark database bearing the model number L58041. The smartphone was also certified by TENAA in China earlier today, revealing a dual-camera setup at the rear, instead of a quad-camera setup teased by the company.

Lenovo S5 Pro Spotted on Geekbench Ahead of Launch in China

The Lenovo S5 Pro Geekbench listing reveals the upcoming mid-range Android smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE octa-core processor under the hood. Lenovo has coupled the powerful mid-range SoC on the S5 Pro with an impressive 6GB of RAM. If some rumors are to be believed, the smartphone will also be available in 3GB and 4GB RAM versions. In terms of software, the Geekbench listing tells us the smartphone will ship with the Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box. Similar to the Lenovo S5 and the Z5, we expect the S5 Pro to come with the ZUI custom user-interface running on top of Android Oreo. In terms of performance, the device managed to post a single-core score of 1,337 points and a multi-core score of 4,928 points. While these are not quite best-in-class, they are more or less on par with the average scores we expect from a device powered by a Snapdragon 660 chipset.

Lenovo S5 Pro TENAA Listing Reveals Dual Rear Cameras

The Lenovo S5 Pro is expected to sport a 6.18-inch IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2246 pixels resolution and a 19:9 aspect ratio. In the memory department, it could be offered in three configurations – 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. The handset will include a microSD card slot, allowing further expansion up to 128GB. In the camera department, Lenovo S5 Pro will impress with a dual-camera setup on both sides. At the rear will be a 20MP + 12MP setup, while on the front it will have a 20MP + 8MP setup for selfies. However, the official teasers released by Lenovo recently had all pointed to a quad-camera setup at the rear, similar to Samsung’s new Galaxy A9. However, the images published on the TENAA website make it quite clear that the S5 Pro will only have two cameras at the rear. The smartphone is expected to offer 2x optical zoom as well, a feature not commonly found on mid-range smartphones. Connectivity-wise, we expect the smartphone to support Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and 4G VoLTE. Keeping the lights on will be a 3500mAh capacity battery.
