OPPO recently started teasing the launch of its brand new OPPO A15 smartphone in India. OPPO A15 will be sold across the country via Amazon India. The moment we saw the landing page for the OPPO A15, our first hunch was that it could very well be the OPPO CPH2185 smartphone, which had already been spotted on the FCC certification website. That said, there was no solid evidence backing up our theory back then. Well, as it turns out, the theory was indeed correct and the OPPO A15 indeed comes with the model number OPPO CPH2185, as the same has been spotted on the NBTC certification website today. The mapping of the model number and the moniker of the device helps us confirm some of its specifications. Take a look.

As seen on the NBTC certification website, OPPO A15 (with the model number OPPO CPH2185) has recently received certification. The device will be a 4G handset, which should not come as a surprise to anyone, given its entry-level nature. Other than confirming the moniker of the device and mapping it with the model number, the NBTC certification does not tell us anything crucial about the device.
That being said, we have successfully connected the dots, as the OPPO CPH2185 has already been listed on the FCC certification website, which has confirmed that it will boot ColorOS 7.2 out of the box. Furthermore, the FCC certification has mentioned the model number of the battery to be used in the OPPO CPH2185 (OPPO A15) – BLP817.

The same battery model number has received the TUV Rheinland certification, which confirms that the OPPO A15 will come with a 4,230mAh battery with support for 10W fast charging.
Additionally, OPPO A15 has also received EEC certification and Indonesian Telecom certification. Speaking of the Indian launch, since the product page is already live, we can expect the device to launch anytime soon now. The OPPO A15 will sport a triple rear camera setup. Plus, there will be a rear-mounted physical fingerprint scanner as well.
