Design and Specifications
HTC Droid DNA is a premium smartphone with amazing features. The phone sports a massive 5" Super LCD 3 capacitive touch screen that tops the Super LCD 2 screen of the HTC One X. The screen has a display resolution of 1080p Full HD, making it even more attractive than the retina display of iPhone. The display pixel density is over 441 ppi making it the highest in smartphones. The phone runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS out of the box with the latest HTC Sense 4+ UI laced over it. The phone houses a 1.5 Ghz quad core SnapDragon S4 Krait processor with 2 GB RAM.
Camera and Multimedia
HTC has always provided great cameras with its phones and the Droid DNA is no exception. The phone houses a 8 MP primary camera with multitude of features such as auto focus, LED flash, geo-tagging, face and smile detection and simultaneous HD video and image recording. The camera is capable of recording full HD videos at 30 fps with stereo sound and in built video stabilization. The phone has a 2.1 MP secondary camera that is also capable of recording full HD videos and is great for HD video calls.
Connectivity and Features
HTC Droid DNA runs on 2G, 3G CDMA, GSM networks depending on markets. The phone also provides LTE connectivity. Users can browse the internet via GPRS, EDGE, 3G and LTE technology as well as Wifi. The phone provides all the latest provisions for sharing data such as Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB 2.0 and NFC.
Battery and Storage
The phone houses a 2020 mAH battery which is less than the one in HTC One X+ but should suffice for a day's operation. The phone provides 16 GB of internal memory out of which only 11 GB is available to the user. There is no micro SD card slot to expand this internal memory which is a let down.
