LG Optimus One P500 is an excellent value for money Android phone. It comes with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and boasts of many mid range features at entry level price. It comes with a 3.2 inch 256K-color capacitive TFT touchscreen of HVGA resolution (320 x 480 pixels) and multi-touch input. Multi-touch is supported for both browser and maps. Double tap zooming is also available. It comes pre-loaded with Facebook, Twitter and my other useful applications.
Optimus One includes all the standard smartphone connectivity options like Dual-band 3G with HSDPA, Wi-Fi b/g; Wi-Fi hotspot functionality and Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP. Accelerometer for screen auto rotate and Proximity sensor are also built in. It also supports A-GPS for satellite navigation and includes bundled software for turn-by-turn directions. Best part about Optiums One is its almost untouched native Android UI which really makes navigation and usability awesome.
It comes with a 3 megapixel autofocus camera with face and smile detection and geotagging, but lacks LED flash. With its 1,500mAh cell battery, it lasts a good 8 hours of continuous usage. Like other entry level smartphones it comes with a fast 600MHz processor and 512MB of RAM that delivers a decent performance. Overall LG Optimus One P500 is a great value for money entry level Android smartphone and delivers much more than other similar phones.
