Micromax introduced the A73 in 2012, as a part of the company’s Superfone series of smartphones.
This dual-SIM device comes with a 3.5-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 320x 480 pixels and a pixel density of 165 PPI. The viewing experience isn't great, but the phone is great for those that want a basic device with a comfortable screen size.
It is powered by the Mediatek MT6573 chipset 650 MHz Cortex-A9 processor and a PowerVR SGX531 GPU. It runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. This device has a 2-megapixel camera with LED flash which allows you to take pictures in low-light conditions. The device also sports another 0.2-megapixel secondary camera for making video calls and taking selfies. You can also record videos with the A73.
This dual-SIM device offers you 512MB of internal storage memory which you can use to store your data. Furthermore, you can also expand your memory storage by up to 32GB via a microSD card.
In terms of network connectivity, the device supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS and a microUSB 2.0 port. The A73 runs on a Li-Ion 1,300 mAh battery, which lasts up to 240 hours on Stand By mode and up to 5 hours on Talk Time mode in 3G.This device is available in black.
In its price point, this device competes with smartphones such as Spice Mi-350n, Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos and Karbonn A9 which offer similar hardware.
