Nokia launched the 700 phone along with two other as part of the Symbian Belle update running devices. Codenamed Zeta, Nokia 700 also bundles along Near Field Communication chip inside.
Nokia has used a 3.2-inch AMOLED display with ClearBlack layer to make it slightly anti-reflective and Corning Gorilla Glass technology for protection. It has 320 640 pixel resolution to provide decent visual feedback.
Nokia has constructed this phone using recycled metals and bio-plastic components for the chassis. Powered by 1GHz ARM11 mobile processor, the 700 has packed 512MB of RAM. The Symbian Belle is updatable to the Belle Feature Pack 1 and better software experience can be enjoyed.
Nokia has used a 5MP primary camera which can be used to capture high quality images and also record 720p HD video. There is no front facing camera for selfies. Fast mobile web experience is ensure 3G network support and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n support.
The GPS chip with A-GPS ensure better location services experience with Nokia Maps. One can always enjoy the Stereo FM channels powered by the Radio chip. Though it is promoted as a complete multimedia device, it is difficult to make it compete with far better specifications bearing Android phones in the same price range. Nokia has packed 1080 mAh battery to power this smartphone to easily run up to 5 hours on the 3G network. The NFC integrated works only with select passive NFC tags or for transferring data between two Nokia devices.
