Powered by a 1.3 GHz ARM11 processor and 512 MB of RAM powering the device, the 701 runs on Nokia's Symbian Belle OS.

The Nokia 701 sports a 8 Megapixel camera having fixed focus and Dual-LED flash. Also, features like Geo-tagging and face detection are available.
