The Nokia N900 is the first phone in the world to run the Maemo OS. The phone has a 3.5 inches TFT Resistive touch screen and a Horizontal Slide out full QWERTY keyboard, thus weighing about 180 grams. The N900 is powered by a 600 MHz Cortex-A8 CPU and 256MB of RAM and runs Maemo 5, a linux-based OS on it.
Camera and Multimedia
Nokia N900 has a 5 Megapixel Camera with a Dual LED flash along with a front facing secondary camera of VGA resolution. The rear camera is also capable of recording video at 25fps. The N900 supports MP4, AVI, WMV and 3GP video formats and MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, M4A, WAV and WMA Audio formats out of the box.
Connectivity and Features
The Nokia N900 supports 2G and 3G networks and is capable of maximum speeds up to 10 Mbps on HSDPA and 2 Mbps on HSUPA. It comes with Bluetooth 2.1 and comes with 802.11b/g Wi-Fi and micro USB. Also, the phone has a FM Radio tuner along with FM Transmitter. A PDF Document editor and photo editor are pre installed.
Battery and Memory
The Nokia N900 packs a Li-Ion 1320mAh battery and offers up to 275 hours of standby time and 6 hours of talk time in a 2G network. The phone has an internal storage capacity of 32GB and further has a micro SD slot for expansion which supports up to 32GB.
