Design and Specifications
Samsung's upcoming Galaxy Mega has the same look as its predecessors, but with improved features under the hood. It is a dual-SIM phone (GSM+GSM). The phone features a 5.8-inch TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 960 X 540 with 190 ppi pixel density; the phone also supports multitouch gestures. With 1.5 GB of RAM the device would be great at multitasking. The ultra slim phone runs on Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) and is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual-core processor.
Camera and Multimedia
The device comes with an 8 MP camera with autofocus and LED flash and has geo-tagging. The touch focus, face and smile detection help you take better picture anywhere you go. You can also record videos at 1080p resolution at 30fps. The secondary camera on the front is 2 MP, which allows you to make HD video calls.
Connectivity and Features
Samsung Galaxy Mega has connectivity options like quad band 3G and quad band 2G networks. The phone can connect to the Internet using 3G (HSDPA, 7.2 Mbps; HSUPA, 5.76 Mbps), 2G, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n. The phone can also be used as Wi-Fi hotspot. The phone has Bluetooth 4.0 and micro-USB v 2.0 (MHL).
Battery and Storage
The phone is driven by a 2600 mAh Li-Ion battery. The device comes with 8 GB of internal memory, and you can extend that to 64 GB through the MicroSD card slot.
