The phone runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS and features the new Touchwiz Nature UI from Samsung. The phone is powered by a 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos 4420 ARM processor with 2GB RAM.

The phone sports an 8MP camera with auto-focus and LED flash. The camera has features such as geo-tagging, simultaneous HD video and image recording, face and smile detection, touch focus and image stabilization. The phone comes with Bluetooth 4.0, NFC and micro USB 2.0 for catering to other connectivity needs. The phone comes with a new S-pen with a rubberized tip. In addition, the phone has features such as Pop out play, Pop out Note, and lets you capture screenshots of the activity on the phone.

The phone has a 3100 mAh battery that provides up to 21 hours of talk time in 2G and 12 hours in 3G. The phone comes with 16 GB or 32 GB internal memory which can be further expanded via micro SD card to up to 32 GB.
