The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 is an 8-inch tablet from Samsung. The device looks similar to the Tab 2 but the screen size is an inch bigger. It has an 8-inch TFT capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1280 X 800 pixels and a pixel density of 189ppi. The device has two capacitive touch buttons and one physical Home button at the bottom of the screen. The device is powered by a 1.5 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2560 processor with 1.5 GB of RAM that makes the UI smooth. The phone runs on Android v4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) with Samsung's TouchWiz UI.

The Galaxy Tab 3 sports a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash. The camera can take pictures at a resolution of 2592 X 1944 pixels and offers features like geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection and autofocus. The tablet also has a secondary camera, which is of 1.3 MP that is a good enough for video calling and close-up shots. The primary camera can take HD videos at 720p resolution.

The tablet has Bluetooth v4.0 and micro-USB v2.0 (MHL) with USB on the go and USB Host.

A 4450 mAh Li-Ion battery in the tablet means that it should offer countless hours of video streaming and browsing the Internet. The battery is non-removable. The device comes with two storage options, 16/32 GB. The tablet also has a microSD card slot that can extend storage to 64 GB.
