How can we use this device?
First insert the micro SIM of Jio in the slot of the router by opening the back cover. Then push the power button for at least three seconds. The Wi-Fi signal will appear on the router. Now open the setting of your smart phone /laptop and observe that Wi-Fi is turned ON. If not, please turn it ON. The SSID of Jio network will appear, starting with Jio. Then click connect and insert the password available inside the router ( By opening the back cover). The SSID will now be in connected position and secured status. Now you can surf the internet on your Smartphone/laptop.

It is just like any other Wi-Fi router. JioFi M2's advantage is that it is portable, very handy and works for 6 hours.

What are the benefits of JioFi as compared to Jio SIM used in a mobile phone?
If you are on a call, then there is the internet dis-connection on your phone as well as the other devices if they are using the hotspot facility from your mobile device. Whereas, if you are using JioFi for the internet facility, none of the devices using the hotspot facility from JioFI will be disturbed.

You can use mobile data with your own mobile instrument while sharing the Wi-Fi with other devices through the hotspot. But if you get a call and while you are speaking, the other devices get disconnected with the Wi-Fi connection. But if you use JioFi, this problem may not be experienced.

You can use it as an EMTA modem-cum-router. You can use it on 3G devices also. In spite of buying a new 4G phone for >Rs.10000, you can get the benefits of Jio on your 3G phone. All you need is to download the 4GJioVoice app.

For a laptop, it will save the mobile battery from heating and discharge. And at home, you can use a 3rd SIM on a two SIM mobile, but you have to carry this device for the outdoor purpose.

It is simply like Wi-Fi & hotspot. When it comes to Jio SIM used in mobile, you can connect a maximum of 8 devices whereas in JioFi we can connect up to 32 devices at a time.
