
Unveiled at MWC this year, the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus has now been officially launched in India (the first country to get the device) at Rs. 8,499. The device boasts an all metal aluminium body and unlike all other smartphones with metal built, the Vibe K5 Plus, comes with a removable back panel. The device will be available on Flipkart in an open sale on March 23 at 12 PM.
The all metal build of the Vibe K5 Plus weighs 142g, and measures 7.9 mm thick. The device sports a 5-inch Full-HD display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop wrapped under Lenovo’s proprietary VIBE UI. The device comes in platinum silver, champagne gold, and graphite grey colour variants.
On the specifications front, the device is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 616 mobile chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM. Graphics on the device are handled by Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 16GB of onboard storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. Imaging on the device is managed by a 13-megapixel primary camera and a 5-megapixel secondary front-facing camera. The device comes with Dual SIM option and supports 4G LTE on both the SIM cards. Other connectivity options on the device include WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, and a Micro-USB port. The Vibe K5 Plus is backed by a 2,750mAh removable battery.
