In a little over two weeks after the device was officially announced, the much anticipated iPhone SE is now available for purchase in India, along with the iPad Pro. The iPhone SE starts at Rs. 39,000 for the 16GB model and goes up to Rs. 49,000 for the 64GB version.
The iPhone SE bears the same design language as that of the iPhone 5S, but it includes the internals of the iPhone 6S, therefore giving it more power. At its heart, the iPhone SE is powered by Apple A9 chipset with M9 processor and sports a 4-inch Retina display. The device also supports Apple Pay and has a 12-megapixel iSight camera, which is also seen in iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. Apple dubbed its iPhone SE the ‘most powerful 4-inch smartphone, which is not off the mark really. However, do note that the 3D Touch is not available on the iPhone SE.
The handset runs iOS 9.3 and offers connectivity options such as 4G, Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and a lightening connector. The iPhone SE is powered by a Li-Po 1,642mAh battery claimed to support up to 14 hours of talk time.
As for the iPad Pro, the 9.7-inch tablet costs around Rs. 49,900 for the base Wi-Fi 32GB model and goes all the way up to Rs. 85,900 for the 256GB variant. Both the devices are available on the company’s online store or from other major offline retailers in India in various colours such as Silver, Space Grey, Gold, and Rose Gold. Also, Apple has already launched all the iPad Pro accessories including the Apple Pencil, Smart Cover, and Smart Keyboard.
