It’s not been more than a couple of days since HTC launched its most awaited flagship, the HTC 10 and the company has already launched another new phone. This time, the phone comes in the form of HTC Desire 828 priced at Rs. 19,990. While the new HTC Desire 828 is not totally a new phone to the Indian market, it’s an upgraded version of the original HTC Desire 828, which launched in December last year.
The original Desire 828 came with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. However, according to what Mahesh Telecom, a Mumbai-based retailer claims, the new HTC Desire 828 packs 3GB of RAM paired with 32GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded up to 2TB via a microSD card.
Apart from the bump in RAM and internal storage, the new Desire 828 is pretty much the same as the older variant. It features the same 5.5-inch Full HD (1080×1920 pixels) IPS display. This Dual-SIM phone is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor and packs a 2,800mAh battery.
For the photography enthusiasts, it comes with a 13-megapixel OIS camera at the rear along with an LED flash for better low-light imaging. A 4-ultrapixel camera at the front takes care of selfies and video calls. The Desire 828 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop with HTC’s Sense UI atop. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE, FM radio, GPS, A-GPS, 4G LTE with support for Indian networks. The device also features HTC’s BoomSound technology coupled with Dolby Audio support on the audio front.
