Microsoft keyboard Word Flow released for iPhone in the US

Microsoft’s famous keyboard, Word Flow, has now been rolled out to iPhone users only in the USA. The Word Flow app version 1.0.117, a project by Microsoft Garage, can be downloaded via iTunes and occupies 70.7MB of space on your phone.

Word Flow includes the handy one-handed mode called Arc mode, that helps you access/type/send messages on the keyboard, which is pushed to one corner of the screen. This will help users with the bigger iPhone 6 Plus/6s Plus to type and swipe between alphabets easily. The app brings about free backgrounds and customisations that is not available for Windows users yet. For backgrounds, you can either use images already provided or the ones of your choice. Like SwiftKey, Apple’s AI for keyboards is called Quick Type that predicts next words as you type, based on your typing history on the phone. Also, depending on your Contacts, the app suggests names as you type to make your experience simpler and faster.

The app is free on iTunes USA and currently has a five-star rating by customers. The keyboard is compatible with iOS 9.0 or higher firmware for the iPhone, iPad, and/or iPod touch. According to the store, it says that Microsoft’s keyboard has been optimised especially for iPhones. As of now, English (U.S.) is the only language that is supported by the app.

There is no report of the rollout of Word Flow for global iOS users.
