Canon PowerShot SX620 HS

Canon, today, announced the new PowerShot SX620 HS, refreshing its superzoom camera lineup. The camera is expected to be available at stores in Black, Red, and Silver, for an estimated price of USD 279 (approximately Rs. 18,603).

Offering 25x optical zoom, the SX620 HS’ lens covers an equivalent focal length from 25-625mm. Although it outdoes the 25-450mm focal length range of the SX610 HS, it doesn’t compare to the recently announced SX720 HS’ 40x (24-960mm) optical zoom.

The SX620 HS is quite compact with its dimensions of 97x58x28mm. Combined with its weight of 182g, the camera will fit into your pocket easily. Like its predecessor, the PowerShot SX620 HS uses a 20.2-megapixel, 1/2.3-inch BSI-CMOS sensor together with the Canon DIGIC 4+ image processor. The PowerShot SX720 HS, in comparison, boasts of the newer DIGIC 6 image processor. The camera also features the same 3-inch 922k dot LCD, shoots Full-HD video, and shares features like image stabilisation and built-in Wi-Fi and NFC with its predecessor.
