Nextbit, US-based smartphone startup, has launched its first phone – Robin – in India for a superb price of Rs. 19,999. The Robin will sell online exclusively at Flipkart starting today. The Robin includes a unique cloud-storage technology of taking a backup of the least used apps and other photo data to create more space on the phone.
The Robin is a couple of months late in the game but its specifications are promising. The mint colour and its different design make it stand out from the rest.
The Robin features a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display made using the Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. A hexa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 chip powers the Robin with Adreno 418GPU. It packs 3GB of RAM which is good enough to handle most of the tasks. The phone offers 32GB storage space and 100GB of cloud storage. At the back, four tiny lights blink whenever the phone is syncing the data to the cloud space. A slightly recessed power button also integrates the fingerprint sensor. The Robin also supports Indian 4G LTE bands and offers dual-band Wi-Fi support for faster downloads.
Booting Android 6.0 Marshmallow, the Robin has a 13-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and Phase Detection Autofocus at the rear. There’s a 5-megapixel camera on the front and the dual front-facing speakers promise to rock the audio. The Robin houses a 2,680mAh battery with QuickCharge 2.0 fast charging support via the USB Type-C port a the bottom.
