Android 6.0 Marshmallow update now available for the Lenovo K4 Note

The Lenovo K4 Note has started receiving the Android Marshmallow 6.0 through an OTA update, today. The update will most likely be layered upon the proprietary VibeUI. The update will unlock an array of new features and support including revamped app permissions, Google Now on Tap, Doze, adaptable storage, etc.

The 1.6GB update is now available on all K4 Note devices across the country. The K3 Note and Vibe S1 have been on the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system since last month. At launch, the K4 Note came with Android 5.1 Lollipop topped with Lenovo’s VibeUI. The K4 Note is the first Lenovo device to have the TheaterMax technology that can create an immersive large screen experience boasting smooth graphics, lifelike surround sound, and responsive 3D. Lenovo, in partnership with Amazon also announced that a total of 6,00,000 units of the K4 Note and 1,50,000 units of the popular ANT VR headsets have been sold so far.

While users are already looking for Android N, the update comes a little too late. So, don’t wait and head over to your phone’s settings to download the OTA update. It is recommended to switch to Wi-Fi before proceeding.
