LeEco quietly unveils Le Max2 with 128GB storage option

LeEco India stirred the Indian smartphone scene by announcing the Le Max2 with whopping 6GB of RAM earlier this month. However, only 64GB storage version was the only top end model announced. Today, the company’s online store, Le Mall, listed a new Le Max2 model with 6GB of RAM and massive 128GB of internal storage. Available in the new Force Gold colour option, this 128GB storage totting model comes at a premium price of 2,799 Yuan (Rs 28,490 approximately).

What may look like a herd move might actually be beneficial for the consumers. So far, the phone makers from China limited the availability of the 128GB storage models only to the home region. However, that might change soon. Earlier today, Xiaomi announced the new Mi Max phablet model with 128GB storage for Rs 19,999 for the Indian market. The actual availability of the said variant is yet to be seen.

LeEco on the other hand has been making bold moves like introducing a new CDLA standard using USB Type-C to competitive pricing. There is no word on whether the Le Max2 with 128GB storage will ever reach Indian shores.

At this moment, Le Max2 is being sold at Rs 22,999 for 32GB and Rs 29,999 for 64GB variant. Considering that price difference, the 128GB variant might be priced around Rs 35,000 bracket. That said, we can barely see the company selling its 64GB variant at Le Mall or Flipkart in India.
