Lenovo Vibe K5 & Vibe K5 Plus to go on open sale starting today


Lenovo’s latest smartphone in the K series, the Vibe K5 and Vibe K5 Plus, were launched in India last month. The Chinese smartphone giant started selling these smartphones exclusively through Amazon India via flash sales. Now, the Lenovo Vibe K5 and K5 Plus will go on open sale starting today. Lenovo announced open sale for its smartphones last week, and it also announced that it sold 100,000 units of Vibe K5 and K5 Plus across two flash sales.

The Lenovo Vibe K5 is priced at Rs 6,999, while the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is priced at Rs 8,499 (now priced at Rs 7,999). Both smartphones feature a 5-inch HD IPS LCD display, a 13-megapixel primary camera with 1080p video recording, and a 5-megapixel secondary camera. Under the hood, the Vibe K5 comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 415 octa-core 64-bit processor, while the Lenovo Vibe K5 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 octa-core 64-bit processor.

Both smartphones feature 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, a microSD card slot for storage expansion, and a 2,750 mAh battery. Connectivity-wise, the Vibe K5 and K5 Plus feature dual-SIM card slots, 4G LTE and Wi-Fi b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Bluetooth 4.1 (with A2DP and LE), GPS (with A-GPS), FM Radio, and microUSB 2.0 port with USB OTG capability.

Both smartphones run Android 5.1 Lollipop, and come with SHAREit, CLONEit, and SYNCit apps. Other features include Dolby Atmos Audio with dual rear-facing speakers and active noise cancellation. Both smartphones have metal (Aluminium) unibodies with fingerprint resistant coating. Lenovo is selling the Vibe K5 and K5 Plus in Champagne Gold, Graphite Gray, and Platinum Silver.
