Sony launches power banks of 15,000mAh and 20,000mAh capacities in India today

Sony launched two new power banks of capacities 15,000mAh and 20,000mAh in India today. The 15,000mAh power bank is available in two colours, black and silver and costs Rs.5,100. The 20,000mAh power bank, on the other hand, is available only in a single colour i.e black and costs Rs.7,500.

These power banks can charge multiple devices at the same time with a maximum fast-charging output as claimed by the company. The power banks are powered by a Li-Ion Polymer battery and support pass-through charging mechanism, which essentially means that the device can be connected to the charger while it is being charged at the same time. These power banks require an AC power supply for charging. The 15,000mAh power bank comes with two USB ports, whereas the 20,000mAh power bank comes with four USB ports.

These power banks use Sony’s Hybrid Gel technology which means that these power banks are safe to be taken along when travelling. Sony also claims that these devices “retain 90 percent of its capacity even after 1,000 charges.”

Both these power banks will be on sale exclusively on Flipkart from today and at offline stores from 15th August.
