Indian phone maker iBall has added a new handset to its ever-expanding lineup of affordable smartphones with the new iBall Andi Rider. iBall has priced the phone under the psychologically crucial sub-Rs.5000 mark. For the same reason, it will cater to the price conscious consumer who is on the lookout for an affordable entry into the world of smartphones.

As usual, we start off by mentioning the display which happens to be a 5-inch panel with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels. The display is claimed to be slightly curved as well. Under the hood, powering the phone is an unnamed 1.3GHz quad-core processor. The phone gets 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and the ability to expand the memory further using microSD cards. iBall has not revealed the SoC that the phone uses.

The iBall Andi Rider gets a 5-megapixel main camera at the rear and a 2-megapixel secondary camera at the front for selfies. The rear camera gets an LED flash for low light imaging. The handset runs the slightly older, Android 5.1.1 version. The phone is also dual SIM ready. Connectivity options include GPS, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB Data Transfer and USB OTG. The 2300 mAh battery promises up to 12 hours of talktime.

The handset supports 9 Indian Regional system languages support and 21 Indian Regional languages for read/write support. It also comes pre-installed with several apps including AccuWeather, Excel, Facebook, GameLoft games, Hungama, and Hungama Play. Other software also include iBall OTA, PowerPoint, Sanjeev Kapoor Recipes, Skyscanner Setup, TOI, TrueCaller, WhatsApp and Word.
