ZTE ZMax Pro, a $100 smartphone with unbelievably good specs, launched in the US

A 100 US dollars is around Rs. 7,000. For that price, you can get phones like the Lenovo K5, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, or even the Microsoft Lumia 540 dual-SIM (if you are feeling particularly ambitious). What if we were to tell you that you can actually buy the Moto G4 Plus, with a six-inch screen, for that much. Well, say hello to the ZTE ZMax Pro. Launched in the US on Monday, the ZTE ZMax Pro, is a $100 smartphone with a 6-inch display and Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 SoC.

The phone’s 6-inch display outputs images at a Full-HD (1080p) resolution. Like we mentioned, it has a Snapdragon 617 SoC under-the-hood and comes with 2GB of RAM. The phone offers 32GB of internal storage space, with support for microSD cards. The phone has a large 3,400mAh battery and uses a USB Type-C connection for charging and data transfers. Do note that the Type-C is of the USB 2.0 variety and not USB 3.0.

The phone also comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing one. The fingerprint scanner on the ZTE ZMax Pro sits on its rear. The phone is available exclusively via MetroPCS carrier in the US and pre-ordering it before August will actually fetch you a free leather case.
