
Xiaomi has been in the news recently for various reasons. Apart from prepping the launch of two new devices in the next few days, several other handsets from them were “leaked” on popular benchmarking website Geekbench recently.
As previously reported, Xiaomi has already announced an event on 27 July where the company will launch the new devices. The official Xiaomi Redmi page on Weibo too, has more or less confirmed that the upcoming device would be called the Redmi Pro.
In fact, Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun too has confirmed the same while adding that the Redmi Pro and will be the flagship device from its Redmi lineup. The Redmi Pro is rumoured to come with Deca core processor and will have a OLED display.
In case you wanted to know more about the chip, here are the details. The actual SoC being used by the device is rumoured to be the Helio X25 from MediaTek. The display size would be around the 5.5-inches making it a large device. It might feature 4GB of RAM and will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Xiaomi’s own MIUI running atop the Android core.
Apart from the Redmi Pro, another unannounced Redmi smartphone called the Redmi Note 4 may also be unveiled on the same day. Lastly, the much awaited Mi Notebook may also see an official launch on July 27.
