Following the success of the InFocus M535 that was launched last year, the US-based company launched a variant of the device, the InFocus M535+ in India on Monday. The latest device is available in two colour options: gold and silver, and is priced at Rs.11,999 in India.
When compared to its predecessor the InFocus M535, the InFocus M535+ has a smaller 5-inch Full-HD IPS display that has a pixel density of 401 PPI and comes in a full-metal design. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6753 64-bit processor with Mali T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. In contrast to the 3GB of RAM, its predecessor, the M535 came with a smaller 2GB of RAM.
The M535+ has 16GB of internal memory that is expandable up to 64GB using a microSD card, which is the same as on the M535. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with InLife UI on top of it. In terms of camera specifications, the device comes with 13-megapixel cameras at the back as well as the front. There is a clear upgradation in terms of the front camera, from the 8-megapixel front camera on the M535 to the 13-megapixel front camera on the M535+. The rear camera is accompanied by an LED flash just as on its predecessor.
When it comes to network connectivity, the device offers the usual set of features such as 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS. The new variant has a hybrid Dual-SIM slot. Just as on the M535, the newer variant is powered by a 2,600mAh battery.
The company is also offering a free selfie stick worth Rs.1,000 to promote the device further.
