
Xiaomi is working on couple of new smartphones, which could be launched by the end of this month, and the successor of the last year’s Mi Note is expected to be one of them. Kevin Wang, a supply chain analyst, posted on Weibo that many vendors are preparing for the curved screen smartphone that could be launched by the second half of 2016.
There were multiple reports stating that LG will be supplying curved screen panels for upcoming high-end smartphones from Huawei and Xiaomi, indicating that more curved screen smartphones are on their way.
Prior to these, a new Xiaomi smartphone with a curved display had surfaced on Weibo. The Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is expected to feature a 5.7-inch display curved display, a Snapdagon 821 processor, dual-12MP camera setup, and a 4,000 mAh battery.
Xiaomi is also expected to keep the Mi Note 2’s price high, making this the most expensive device from Xiaomi till date. Moreover, it may have 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Rumoured pricing of the Mi Note Edge can be CNY 3,499 (Rs 35,560 approximately).
