Xiaomi Redmi 4 appears on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625 and 3GB RAM in tow

As we reported earlier today, Xiaomi is prepping to launch a new smartphone in its affordable lineup of Redmi series, the Xiaomi Redmi 4. The company launched the Redmi 3s and Redmi 3s Prime in India last week, but that was months after they were announced in China. Now, the company seems to be ready to launch the Redmi 4 on 25 August in China. The Xiaomi Redmi 4 has now appeared on Geekbench, giving us an early look at its specifications ahead of launch.

Redmi 4 Geekbench

The Xiaomi Redmi 4 might feature a 5-inch 1080p display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, and 3GB of RAM. It is believed to come with 2.5D glass on top of it. As usual, it will come with a fingerprint scanner at the back and speakers on its bottom. The Redmi 4 will proabaly come with 32GB of internal storage and a microSD card slot. However, there could also be a variant with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.


Xiaomi is also expected to launch the Mi 5s or the Mi Note 2 in September, which will be the flagship smartphone from the company. It is expected to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor and 6GB of RAM. We might see the actual smartphone on August 25.
