Coolpad Mega 2.5D with 8-megapixel front-facing camera, 5.5-inch HD display, launched at ₹6,999


Chinese consumer electronics manufacturer, Coolpad, has launched of a new budget smartphone – The Coolpad Mega 2.5D, in India today for ₹6,999. The phone will be available through a flash sale exclusively on Amazon India starting on August 24. The Coolpad Mega 2.5 will be available in gold, silver, and champagne colours.

Noteworthy features of the Coolpad Max 2.5D include an 8-megapixel front-facing camera and a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) IPS LCD display with 2.5D glass covering. The front-facing camera’s lens has an F2.2 aperture and allows for an 83.6 degree wide-angle view, but it lacks an LED flash. Its primary camera is 8 megapixels with an F2.2 aperture lens.

Powered by a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735P processor, which also includes a Mali-T720 GPU, the Coolpad Mega 2.5D has 3GB of RAM and16GB of internal memory. The internal storage is expandable up to 32GB using a microSD card. The phone runs the company’s Cool UI 8.0 skin over Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The Mega 2.5D comes with a 2500mAh battery.

The dual-SIM Mega 2.5D offers Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and micro-USB connectivity aside from 4G LTE connectivity. The smartphone also supports VoLTE over 4G networks in India.
