The most expensive device in Samsung’s Galaxy A series of smartphones, which was launched in China a few months back, is expected to be launched in India soon. The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro is a beefed-up variant of the Galaxy A9, which hasn’t been launched in India yet.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro: Specifications and features
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro features a 6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and Gorilla Glass protection with 2.5D curved edges. It is powered by a huge 5,000mAh battery, and is equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and a microSD card slot.
In the imaging department, the Galaxy A9 Pro comes with a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel secondary camera. The rear-facing camera has a 1/2.8-inch sensor, F1.9 aperture, OIS, LED flash, and 4K video recording. The front-facing camera has F1.9 aperture and it can record 1080p videos.
The Galaxy A9 Pro runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system with TouchWiz UX. It features a fingerprint sensor, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2 (with A2DP, LE, and EDR), NFC, FM Radio, and a Micro-USB v2.0 port. The device is quite heavy at 210 grams, thanks to its glass-and-metal build. It will most probably be available in its dual-SIM avatar in India.
Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro: Expected price in India
The Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro price in India is expected to be around ₹35,000, which would make it the highest-priced Galaxy A smartphone from Samsung. At this price, it would compete with Samsung’s own Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S7, Galaxy Note 5 as well as the Apple iPhone 6 and the Apple iPhone SE.
