Huawei Watch Stainless Steel launched in India today for ₹22,999

Along with the Huawei P9, the Chinese smartphone brand has also launched its premium smartwatch in India today. The Huawei Watch Stainless Steel is a variant of the Huawei Watch, which was launched in India a few months back. The Huawei Watch Stainless Steel is priced at ₹22,999 in India, and it will be available exclusively through Flipkart starting today.

The Huawei Watch Stainless Steel (Mercury-G01) features a stainless steel band and a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 400×400 pixels (286 PPI), and is protected using a Sapphire Glass panel. It runs Android Wear 1.4, but it will soon be updated to Android Wear 2.0, which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It features a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB of internal storage.

In terms of connectivity, the smartwatch from Huawei features Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, gyroscope, It is compatible with smartphones running Android 4.3 Jellybean and upwards, and iOS 8.2 upwards. It comes with an accelerometer, barometer, and a heart rate sensor. Sadly, it misses out on GPS, so you can’t use this watch independently to track your runs.

Similar to the Huawei Watch, the stainless steel variant uses a 300mAh battery, and Huawei claims that it can last up to 1.5 days with regular usage. Speaking of the Huawei Watch, its variant with a leather band had a price drop, and it is now available for as low as ₹19,999 in India.
