New Meizu smartphone receives TENAA certification

Meizu M3

Meizu seems to be pretty busy developing new smartphones, especially in the first half of 2016. Recently, the company announced the budget-oriented M3E as well as the flagship smartphone, the MX6, a few days back. However, the company seems to be working on a new smartphone.

A new Meizu smartphone with model number S685C has been passed TENAA certifications, but we can’t see many details about the actual smartphone. As per the information available in the certification documents, the unannounced Meizu smartphone will come with a 5-inch display, a MediaTek processor, a metallic body, a fingerprint sensor, and Android operating system.

The Meizu MX6 goes by the model number “M685”, while the Meizu M3s goes by the model number “Y685”. However, the smartphone certified with model number S685C doesn’t seem to have a predecessor. So, we think that Meizu might launch a new smartphone series starting with this device.

Currently, Meizu is developing the Meizu Pro 7 or the Meizu Pro 6 Plus, which was leaked a few days back. It is expected to feature the Samsung Exynos 8890 processor, making it a huge deal. If you don’t know already, the Samsung Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 edge, and the Galaxy Note 7 are powered by the Exynos 8890 chipset. A Meizu smartphone with Exynos 8890 and 4GB RAM was spotted on AnTuTu.
