Intex Technologies has announced the launch of its new affordable smartphone from the Aqua series, the Intex Aqua Power HD 4G in India. The smartphone happens to be a successor of the similarly named model – Intex Aqua Power HD that was launched last year. Being the successor to an existing device, the handset does carry forward a similar design and a slight upgrade in terms of the overall features. Let us now delve into the spec sheet of the Intex Aqua Power HD 4G.

To start off things, the phone gets a 5-inch IPS HD display with a resolution of 720*1280 pixels. Powering the handset is a 1.4 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592M processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The phone does get the provision to add a microSD card for memory expansion. The graphics bit is handled by a Mali 400 GPU.

The Intex Aqua Power HD 4G features an 8-megapixel main camera at the rear and a 5-megapixel secondary camera at the front for selfies. The handset supports the following network bands. As you might have already guessed by the naming scheme, the handset does support 4G networks.

The Intex Aqua Power HD 4G runs Android 5.1 underneath a slightly modified custom UI designed by Intex. The handset, as expected, is a dual SIM phone with both the sim slots supporting 3G and 4G networks. The handset gets a 3900 mAh Li-Polymer battery that claims to offer  a standby time of more than 390hours and 7 hours of talktime on 2G networks. Other connectivity options include WLAN 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth: BLE V4.0, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio and a 3.5mm audio port.
