Lenovo had recently teased that it would be bringing the Z2 Plus to the Indian market, and the Chinese OEM has now revealed that the official launch of the handset will take place on September 22nd. The Lenovo Z2 Plus is the successor to the Lenovo Zuk Z1 – it was launched as the Zuk Z2 in China in May this year, but for the Indian market Lenovo has decided to drop the Zuk branding. That doesn’t mean the Z2 Plus shouldn’t have the same aggressive pricing as the Z1’s, although the exact price the handset will retail for remains to be seen.
Provided Lenovo doesn’t change a few specs, the Z2 Plus should feature a 5-inch Full HD LCD display with 2.5D glass, the Snapdragon 820 SoC clocked at 2.15 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front camera, 64 GB of internal storage (but no microSD slot), a USB Type-C port, dual SIM slots, a fingerprint scanner, and a 3,500 mAh battery with fast charging support. Android 6.0 Marshmallow should be a guarantee on the software front. The device will have 4G LTE connectivity, with support for VoLTE for those free voice calls on the Reliance Jio network.
While we look forward to the Z2 Plus’ launch, how about giving our Lenovo Zuk Z1 review a read?
