Remember the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro that we had talked about in an article just a few hours ago? Well since we published that article, Samsung has went ahead and made the C9 Pro official. The highlight of the Samsung C9 Pro is the fact that the phone happens to be the first Samsung handset to sport 6GB of RAM. It is rather ironic to see a mid-range handset get 6GB of RAM instead of a flagship. The Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and the now defunct Galaxy Note 7 both came with 4GB of RAM.
Anyway, coming back to the Galaxy C9, the device gets a large 6-inch 1080p display. The phone gets the brand new Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 chipset which packs in an octa-core CPU with four Cortex-A72 cores and four additional low-power ARM Cortex-A53 Cores. For graphics, the handset uses the fairly potent Adreno 510 GPU. The C9 pro gets 64GB of onboard storage as well as a memory card slot for further memory expansion.
As for the cameras, the Samsung C9 Pro gets a 16-megapixel camera at the front as well as the rear. Both the lenses get a fairly wide f1.9 aperture. The phone gets a large 4,000 mAh battery. Other features include support for 4G LTE networks, support for Hi-Fi audio codecs. The phone runs Android 6.0.1 with Samsung’s familiar TouchWiz UX.
The Galaxy C9 Pro comes in Gold and Rose Gold colour options and will only be available in China. The phone will cost the equivalent of $470 (₹31,466).
