The Meizu M5 features a 5.2-inch 720p display and a polycarbonate body. Under the hood, it uses an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz. On the imaging front, the M5 makes use of a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone runs Yun OS, which is based on Android 6.0, out of the box.
The smartphone also has the company’s mTouch front-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded into its home button that can unlock the smartphone in 0.2 seconds. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The M5 packs a 3,070mAh battery and the company claims that the battery longevity has increased by 10 percent compared to its predecessor.

The smartphone comes in some great looking colour options: Blue, Champagne Gold, Matte Black, Mint Green, and White. The Meizu M5 is priced at CNY 699 (₹ 6,891) for the 2GB RAM and 16GB storage variant in China, while the 3GB RAM and 32GB variant comes in at CNY 899 (₹ 8863). No details have been revealed by the company regarding its global launch and availability plans yet. The company hasn’t announced when (or whether) it would launch the M5 in India.
