At the Lenovo Tech World 2016 event in San Francisco in June, Lenovo had unveiled two new phablets: the Phab 2 and the Phab 2 Plus. Now, the company has sent out press invites announcing the launch of the Phab 2 Plus in India on November 8. The launch will take place exclusively on Amazon.in. The device is available at $299 (approximately ₹20,000).
Specifications & Features
The Phab 2 comes with a 6.4-inch 1080p 2.5D Curved Glass display. Under the hood, there is a 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT8783 processor with Mali-T720 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The phablet offers 32GB of internal storage space which is expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card.
The phablet runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Lenovo’s Vibe UI on top of it. It is a hybrid Dual SIM device which means that you can use two Micro SIM cards, one of which alternates with a microSD card. The phone also has dual 13-megapixel rear cameras with Fujitsu Milbeaut ISPs, Laser AF, PDAF and an LED flash and an F2.0 aperture. It also gets features such as refocus, background swap, extreme manual settings and an Augmented-Reality special effects. At the front is an 8-megapixel front camera with F2.2 apertureThere is also a fingerprint sensor at the back. It will be available in two colours: Champagne Gold and Gunmetal Grey.
The Lenovo Phab 2 Plus is the premium variant between the two i.e the Phab 2 and the Plab 2 Plus.
