Vivo has scheduled an event for the launch of the Vivo X9 and the X9 Plus in China on the 16th of November. However, the Chinese smartphone brand has started releasing teasers related to these smartphones on Weibo, which point towards a dual-camera setup in the smartphone. Now, the specifications of these smartphones have been leaked ahead of their official launch. The Vivo X9 will be the base variant, while the X9 Plus will be higher-end variant. Let’s have a look at their specifications.
The Vivo X9 will feature a 5.5-inch 1080p display and an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor. It will pack 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and will have a fingerprint sensor embedded into its front-mounted home button. The camera-related specifications were leaked a few days back, and the smartphone will come with a 20MP+8MP dual-camera setup for the front, and a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera. Both smartphones, the Vivo X9 and the Vivo X9 Plus, will have access to 4G+ networks.

The Vivo X9 Plus is the higher-end variant with a larger 5.88-inch 1080p display and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor. There will be the 6GB RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. The front-facing as well as the rear-facing camera setup on the X9 Plus remains similar to that of the Vivo X9. It will feature a 4000mAh battery, while the Vivo X9 will come packed with a 3050mAh non-removable battery.
The official launch event for both these smartphones is scheduled on the 16th of November, 2016, where we will get confirmation of all the hardware, software, price, and availability details.
