Chinese smartphone maker Gionee is all set to take the wraps off its latest Android-based smartphone. The Gionee S9 which ran the rumour mills over the last month is set to be unveiled in China on November 15. If the rumours turn true, one can also expect the Gionee S9T smartphone alongside the S9.

One of the striking features of the S9 is that it comes with dual-rear shooters. It is a first from the company as no other Gionee smartphones had two primary shooters. The announcement to launch the device came shortly after the device received TENAA certification and was spotted on benchmarking website AnTuTu. Gionee has also released a teaser which portrays the dual cameras placed vertically with the LED flash on the right side and the company logo just below it.

As far as hardware is concerned, the Gionee S9 is expected to flaunt a 5.5-inch full HD display, MediaTek’s Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz, Mali-T860 GPU, and 4GB of RAM. The device is also expected to come with 64GB of onboard storage. For power, the smartphone might use a Li-Ion 3,000 mAh battery.

On the software front, the smartphone is expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and in terms of imaging, the S9 might sport a pair of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel cameras on the rear end. An LED flash will accompany the rear cameras, as seen in the TENAA images. Currently, there is no word on whether the company is going to launch the device in India or other global markets but one can expect the device to be out worldwide very soon.
