Acer had unveiled the thinnest laptop in the world back in August during IFA 2016, and the company has now launched it in India. The Acer Swift 7 is priced at ₹99,999 in India, and it will be available for purchase starting November 18 in the country. The laptop will be available in two colours – Black and Gold – through Flipkart (exclusively online) as well as other multi-brand brick-and-mortar outlets.
The Acer Swift 7 is currently the thinnest laptop in the world with a waistline of just 9.98mm. It has a 13.3-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, and it is protected by a Gorilla Glass 5 panel. It comes equipped with the seventh-generation 1.2GHz Intel Core i5-7Y54 processor with Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU, 8GB of LP-DDR3 RAM, and 256GB SSD. It’s a Microsoft Windows 10-powered laptop with an all-aluminium unibody that weighs just 1.1kg.
Its webcam is HDR enabled so that it will offer much-improved image and video quality. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi ac/b/g/n (with 2×2 MU-MIMO), Bluetooth 4.0, two USB 3.1 Type-C ports, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The laptop also features Dolby Audio Premium and Acer TrueHarmony audio technologies. Acer claims that its 4-cell 2,770mAh battery can last up to 9 hours of mixed usage.
