It’s not been too long since Huawei launched its camera-centric P-Series devices – the P9 and the P9 Plus. While the P9 did make it to India, the larger, slightly better spec’d P9 Plus is still not officially available here. In fact, it even made it to our recent “5 smartphones you should import from China” list. Anyway, news is that Huawei is already working on a couple of successors to both these (fairly) new devices.

According to folks at Androidsoul, Huawei will in the next few months announce two devices – the Huawei P10 and the Huawei P10 Plus – with both the devices carrying forward the Leica branding and the much talked about dual lens system. Images of both these devices were supposedly leaked on Chinese social media website, Weibo. Note that images of the P10 was the first to be leaked, followed a few days later by the images of the P10 Plus.
In the latest leaked image, the handset is seen having the clear Leica branding next to the cameras. While we do not know what color options these new devices would be offered in, the picture in the image does show a black colored device. Apart from the hardware specs, there is also talk about both these new phones getting an updated camera UI with more advance options.
Design-wise too, there would be subtle changes on both the Huawei P10 and the P10 Plus. Both the handsets would get fingerprint scanners (at the rear).
As of now, not much is available on the spec sheets of both these devices. However, we can expect these devices to come powered by the latest generation of Huawei’s own Kirin 9XX series chips.
