
Gionee launched its first smartphone with a dual-camera setup, the Gionee S9. It features a 13-megapixel sensor and a 5-megapixel sensor on the rear and a 13-megapixel on the front. The company now seems to be prepping for the launch of a new smartphone, which has been spotted ahead of its official release through Geekbench. The Gionee GN9012 received its TENAA certification in China a few months ago, which revealed almost all its specifications. Now, the same smartphone has been spotted in Geekbench listing revealing its processor and RAM.
As per the information available on Geekbench, the smartphone will feature an octa-core Helio P10 processor (with ARM Mali-T860 GPU) and 4GB of RAM. As per the TENAA listing, the Gionee GN9012 will most probably come with a 5.5-inch IPS Full HD display, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of internal storage. The smartphone will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system out of the box.

In the camera department, the smartphone might sport the 13-megapixel rear-facing camera and an 8-megapxiel front-facing camera. One more variant of the smartphone, the Gionee GN9012L, has also passed the TENAA certifications, but hasn’t been announced officially. The Gionee GN9012 is believed to be lower-end variant which can be named the S8 Lite. The Gionee S8 was launched earlier this year by the company at MWC 2016 with some respectable specifications.
