
Chinese smartphone maker Nubia, which happens to be a part of the ZTE group could launch a lightweight Android smartphone with a large battery in India soon according to a report by BGR India. Details pertaining to this smartphone remain sketchy at this point in time. What is currently known is that it will feature a sleek design – typical of other Nubia branded devices.
Apart from featuring a highly power efficient processor and SoC, the handset will feature plethora of software optimizations to ensure exceptional battery life. The company is said to be aiming at an incredible battery life that would range anything between 3 and 4 days with normal usage. While not confirmed yet, this unnamed ZTE phone could feature a 5.5-inch full HD display. It is also likely to get 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage capacity – with the option to expand it further using microSD cards. As for software, the handset is rumoured to come preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The phone could also see an update to Android 7.0 Nougat few months down the line.
No details are currently available regarding the naming and pricing of this mythical handset. Looking at its capabilities however, we do expect premium pricing.
The news about this interesting smartphone from Nubia comes at the same time when there have been rumours of the same company coming up with a premium, bezel-less smartphone to India soon. This rumoured device is said to feature some thing known as “Frame interactive Technology 2.0″ (FiT 2.0) with a Handheld Electronic Aperture. Other details about this bezel-less handset remain sketchy at this point.
