Vernee to launch Apollo 2, the world’s first Helio X30 smartphone with 8GB RAM, at MWC 2017


A few days ago, we reported that the Vernee Apollo 2, the world’s first Helio X30 smartphone by Vernee, will be launched at MWC 2017. Now, the company has put up a teaser which hints that the phone will come with a Helio X30 deca-core processor with massive 8GB of RAM.

The MediaTek Helio X30 is  a deca-core processor built on 10nm architecture. In addition to this, it has quad-core PowerVR 7XTP GPU, UFS 2.1 storage and 4K video recording capability. The Vernee Apollo 2 is said to come in two variants: one with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and the other with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

The smartphone is said to run on Android 7.0 Nougat and might come with a fingerprint sensor at the front. Other specs of the device are still unknown as yet, but the phone is also rumoured to have a metal body. In addition to the Vernee Apollo 2, the company will also be launching the Mars Pro, the Thor E, and the Thor Plus smartphones at MWC 2017.


After its launch, the Vernee Mars Pro will also be the world’s first Helio P25 powered smartphone with 6GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The Vernee Thor E is expected to have a thickness of 8.2mm and pack a 5020mAh battery, whereas the Thor Plus is expected come with a 6050mAh battery. The launch event will be take place at MWC 2017 on February 27 at 9 AM where we will get more details about these smartphones.
