Xiaomi launched the successor to the Redmi Note 3, the Redmi Note 4 in India last month. Initially, the phone was available in Champagne Gold and Dark Grey colours in the country as seen in the recent online sales. Now, the company has officially confirmed that a Matte Black variant of the Redmi Note 4 will be available on sale from March 1. The phone will be available on Mi.com as well as Flipkart from 12 PM in the country.

To recall, the Redmi Note 4 sports a 5.5-inch IPS LCD that comes with 2.5D glass on top of it. Under the hood, the smartphone runs on Snapdragon 625 with 2GB of RAM. It is also available in two different variants, which include one with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage space and another high-end one with 4GB RAM + 64GB storage. It boots Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with MIUI 8 on top.
The Redmi Note 4 in the imaging department is equipped with a 13-megapixel rear-facing camera, whereas the front facing camera is of 5-megapixels. In other specs, the device has 4G VoLTE support, rear-facing fingerprint sensor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and IR Blaster.
As far as the pricing is concerned, the smartphone is pegged at ₹9,999 for the 2GB RAM variant, whereas the 3GB RAM variant is priced at ₹10,999. The high-end variant of the smartphone with 4GB of RAM with 64GB storage is priced at ₹12,999.
