HTC 10 users in India start getting the Android 7.0 Nougat update over-the-air


HTC is rolling out the new Android 7.0 Nougat based firmware update for the HTC 10 users in India. Since the update is spaced out in phases, the HTC 10 owners can expect it to pop up any time starting today.

HTC began testing the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade for its flagship HTC 10 since November. However, the testing was limited to the US and Europe markets only. The roll out of the Nougat update for HTC 10 commenced in January this year. HTC ceased it mid-way due to the reports of bugs.


A fresh rollout was started earlier this month in Europe and US markets. Now the update arrives over-the-air in India. The HTC firmware update 2.41.400.5 measures 1.21GB despite being an OTA update. That’s because it packs overal Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade, latest Android security upgrade, and other system enhancements.

HTC 10 equips a 5.2-inch Super LCD5 display with Quad HD resolution. A quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 couples with 4GB of RAM to power the handset. Packing a 12-megapixel rear camera with OIS and dual tone dual-LED flash. HTC 10 is capable of playing 24-bit/192kHz high-resolution audio files for the music lovers. It packs 3,000 mAh battery and currently sells for Rs 41,999 online.
