Samsung is rumoured to launch the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ next month. We’ve already seen the leaked specification sheet of its higher-end variant yesterday which confirmed many of the features on this device. Now, the specs sheet of the Galaxy S8 has been officially announced by the company, and it reaffirms the same set of specifications we have been hearing all these days. However, this sheet does tell us about the difference in the screen size of the S8+, apart from which, all other details are the same as on the S8.
The base variant i.e. the Galaxy S8 will have a 5.8-inch Quad HD display, as already leaked earlier through multiple reports. While the device is supposed to run on a Snapdragon 835 SoC underneath, the newly announced Exynos 8895 SoC will also be seen on the smartphone depending on the region. The smartphone will run on 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. The device also has a memory card slot for further expansion of storage space.
The Galaxy S8 will feature a 12-megapixel dual pixel camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. It will have 4G LTE support, Iris scanner and Samsung Pay support. In addition to these, it will be IP68 water and dust resistant and will come with wireless charging support. The company is going to launch the Galaxy Tab S3 at the ongoing MWC 2017, where we are also expected to know the official launch date of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.
